Are you aware that many families of poor and homeless CHILDREN depend on the Family Holiday Party at Dorothy’s Place Hospitality Center to provide love and cheer this time of year?

Last year, with your support, along with a meal and a hug, we provided a little bit of holiday hope and joy in the form of a TOY for a child in poverty . . . in fact, about 500 children joined us on Soledad Street at Dorothy’s Place last year. 

In the shadow of immense needs, it’s just a toy . . . but in lives of these kids, that little toy means a lot.

Please help us once again fill that tiny need in the lives of hundreds of local children. While you’re out shopping for your own children and grandchildren this year, if you can, pick up one more toy, and bring it to Dorothy’s Place by Monday, December 21^st.  Or, if it is more convenient, bring it to one of our collection bins in Salinas City Hall* (near the City Clerk), Pacific Valley Bank in Salinas (422 Main St) or Pacific Valley Bank in Monterey (498 Alvarado St).  You can be sure your gift will be transformed into a smile!

Thank you SALINAS POLICE & FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION for your generous donation of 200 toys for this year’s Family Holiday Party! And a special thank you to June Backus and St. Joseph’s Church in Spreckels for donating lots of stuffed animals and ‘huggables’ for our party this year.
